Professional Learning Programme to support the implementation of the Recommendations from the EEF

Chris is a Masters Graduate from the University of Leeds, and quickly became Head of Mathematics and a Leading Teacher for Cambridgeshire. Moving into advisory work, Chris was County Mathematics Adviser and eventually Senior 11-19 Adviser in Suffolk. Chris worked as Vice Principal at an outstanding academy, leading whole school teaching and learning and leadership development and was then appointed as Trust Director for Teaching and Learning/Research School. In 2017 he was awarded the Excellence in Teaching Award for Suffolk. He sits on the EEF/Research School mathematics working group and as such was closely involved in the design and implementation of the recommendations coming out of the KS2/3 Maths Guidance Report. He is a passionate advocate for evidence based practice in teaching and learning.

 Misconceptions and Assessment
Gap Task – Audit in own school, design of Multiple Choice Questions to identify and address misconceptions
All days run from 10-3pm and are inclusive of lunch
