Time for a tweak or radical change?

Paul is an independent consultant who provides a wide range of training and support to schools nationally. He has been the Headteacher at three schools and has been employed by both the Dudley PE and Numeracy Advisory services.
He has provided leadership training packages for the Centre of Educational Leadership in Manchester and he has worked as a Regional Facilitator for TDA West Midlands as well as a Level Three Modular Subject Expert for the NCTL designing and providing bespoke consultancy support.
Paul is also an OFSTED inspector and an associate for Coventry Diocesan Board of Education. In addition to this he provides leadership support to a range of multi academy trusts, federations and clusters and Paul is currently supporting well over 100 schools. He is also a School Improvement Reviewer.
During his OFSTED and HMI inspections he has been praised for his dynamism and vision as a leader.

Aims:
 Be clear about what the intent of your curriculum is and what it is trying to achieve;
 Have a greater understanding about what makes a great school curriculum;
 To ensure that your curriculum truly reflects the schools vision, values and ethos;
 Share ideas and good practice with colleagues from other schools;
 Have a clear idea about the principles that will underpin your curriculum and how the curriculum develops these;
 Be clear about how the curriculum is implemented with a focus on pedagogy
 Explore the process of leading curriculum design with a particular focus on Kotter’s work on leading change;
 Have an awareness of a range of leadership tools that can be used to engage and consult with stakeholders;
 Have a clear understanding about how we will assess the impact of our curriculum
 Begin to plan the initial steps/ plans for action for work back in school prior to Day 2.
